This book will be extremely important to you and your family and if you are not convinced let me tell you a quick story about a friend of mine whose spouse passed away.
Lets call her Blanche...
Blanche lost her husband suddenly with a heart attack. Shock set in very quickly and there were many decisions to be made for her husbands arrangements. Blanche spent most of her time running around trying to make all kinds of decisions without knowing what she really wanted or needed to do. She was so grief stricken that simply choosing between a cup of coffee or tea was a major undertaking, let alone trying to determine what choices to make for the funeral.
Blanche did not have the foresight to consider pre-arranging her husbands funeral, which by the way, would have made things much easier for Blanche during the most devastating time in her life.
Living through the rough days and horrifying nights of the initial loss continued, because there were so many unknowns in her husbands affairs that nothing seemed to be getting any easier. She was spending much of her time trying to find insurance policies, bank accounts, investment funds, real estate deeds, employment pension plans and a considerable amount of time on the telephone. In addition to everything else, she spent many hours writing letters to institutions to find out what she needed in order to process all these documents. There were policies, stocks and even accounts that Blanche had no idea her husband owned. Now she was left with the heavy task of finding all the information needed to process all of the necessary paperwork.
I cant begin to tell you everything Blanche went through for nearly an entire year trying to get all of her late husbands affairs in order. She anguished over numerous time-consuming details before she could finally get things half-way straightened out to the point where they started to make some sense.
To this day Blanche has a hard time believing just how frustrating the entire process was plus how annoyingly long it took to find everything.
When I was at Blanches house doing her personal inventory she suggested that I consider putting together a book that would specifically guide people on how to make life easier for their loved ones after they are gone. That is why I have created a book for all of us to use in order to give some Peace of Mind to our loved ones after we are gone.
By the way, DO NOT keep this book a secret. Share this book with your spouse and definitely inform your family of its existence plus location. Both you and your spouse should be working on this together if at all possible.
